Document 250409 THE ADVENTURES OF OZZIE AND HARRIET 435 episodes. Early Photograph inscribed and signed: "For Bernie/With Kindest/regards &/thanks/from/all/of us/Ozzie", "Harriet", "David" and "Ricky". B/w with sepia hue, 10x8. Ozzie and Harriet, television's longest-running sitcom (situation comedy), was televised on ABC from 1952-1966. Bandleader Ozzie Nelson married Harriet Hilliard, the band's singer, in 1935. In 1944, they introduced a radio sitcom, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, in which they played themselves. On the show, as in real life, they had two sons, David, born in 1936, and Eric (Ricky), born in 1940. Child actors played their parts until 1949, when David and Ricky began playing themselves. The radio show lasted until 1954, two years after their television show premiered. Ricky first sang on an episode in 1957, performing Fats Domino's "I'm Walkin". By the 1957-1958 season, he performed regularly. Although undated, this photograph was probably from their first television season when David was 16 and Ricky was 12. Vertically creased in 4 places. Mid-horizontal crease. The creases touch Ozzie's, David's and Ricky's signatures as well as parts of the inscription. Worn edges. SEE IF DOCUMENT 250409 IS FOR SALE RIGHT NOW!!
