In part: "The 1968 Olympics marked the international debut of Dick Fosbury and his celebrated 'Fosbury Flop,' which would soon revolutionize high-jumping. Fosbury's technique began by racing up to the bar at great speed and taking off with his left foot. But instead of swinging his right foot up and over the bar, as everyone else did, Fosbury would pivot his right leg back and approach head first with his back to the bar...." Creased at margins.
