Document 258733 COSMONAUTS Four Soviet space pioneers. Philatelic Envelope signed: "Popovich", "V. Zholobov", "A. Filipchenko" and "Pyotr Klimuk" in Russian, 6½x4½. Russian envelope honoring the 20th anniversary of the launch of the first man-made satellite, Sputnik, on October 4, 1957, pictorially postmarked October 4, 1977. PAVEL POPOVICH was Commander of the fourth manned solo Soviet mission, Vostok 4 (August 12-15, 1962), and Soyuz 14 (August 3-19, 1974), which occupied the Salyut space station. VITALI ZHOLOBOV was the flight engineer aboard Soyuz 21 (July 6-August 24, 1976), which docked with Salyut. ANATOLI FILIPCHENKO was Commander of Soyuz 7 (October 12-17, 1969) and Soyuz 16 (December 2-8, 1974). PYOTR KLIMUK was Commander of Soyuz 13 (December 18-26, 1973), Soyuz 18 (May 24-July 26, 1975) and Soyuz 30 (June 27-July 5, 1978), docking with Salyut on last two missions. Fine condition.
