Document 226655 SUSAN HAYWARD, ERNEST TRUEX and RICHARD DENNING War-time all-star musical comedy: Star Spangled Rhythm. Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Harold/Sincerely/Susan Hayward", "To Harold/Ernest Truex" and "Richard Denning/To Harold/Best Wishes". B/w, 8x10. In Star Spangled Rhythm, Susan Hayward appeared as herself and Ernest Truex was Murgatroyd in the Priorities Number in a story of Pop, a security guard at Paramount (Victor Moore), who told his son in the Navy (Eddie Bracken) that he's the head of the studio. When his son arrives in Hollywood on shore leave with his buddies, Pop enlists the aid of the studio's switchboard operator to pull off the charade and puts together a show for the Navy. A slew of Paramount's top contract players appeared in the musical comedy. Richard Denning's appearance was most probably edited from the final film as his name does not appear in the credits. Creased, notably at margins. Diagonal crease touches "sa" in Susan (barely visible head on). Slightly soiled. SEE IF DOCUMENT 226655 IS FOR SALE RIGHT NOW!!
