CYD CHARISSE
Born to dance.
Oversize Photograph signed: "Cyd Charisse". Color, 11x14. Charisse, who spent her early childhood taking ballet lessons, joined the Ballet Russe at 13. In 1939 she married Nico Charisse, her ex-dance teacher. In 1946, Cyd Charisse danced with Fred Astaire in Ziegfeld Follies. That uncredited appearance got the leggy beauty a seven-year contract with MGM. She appeared in a number of musicals over the next few years, including Singin' in the Rain with Gene Kelly that made her a big star. Fine condition.
