SALLY RAND. Check filled out and signed:
"Sally Rand", 6x2¾. Glendora, California, 1966 July 29. Drawn on
her Bank of America account to A&P Office Equipment for $18.41. Rand staged
her famous "fan dance" at the 1933 World's Fair, invented a bubble dance for the
1934 Chicago Fair and staged "nude shows" for other exhibitions. She also was a
model for early "girlie" magazines, appeared in Las Vegas and had a weekly
television program over her long career. She was in her 60s when she wrote this
check and still had a burlesque act in Miami. "Not Sufficient Funds" stamp
touches the "ll" and "R" of signature. Show through from bank stamp on verso
touches "Sally". Creased, staple hole at upper center.
