Simpson has written: "Warmest Wishes" and added
"&" between the signatures. B/w, 8x10 overall, image 7x7 (one
surface). Songwriters and performers Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson first met
in 1964 and had their first songwriting success two years later with "Let's Go
Get Stoned", covered by Ray Charles. They started performing in 1973 and had
their first success in 1977 with "Don't Cost You Nothing", a song from the first
of their three straight gold albums. Identifying ink note (unknown hand) on
verso.
