ALLA NAZIMOVA
Star of the Russian and American stage and Nancy Reagan's godmother.
Photograph signed: "Nazimova". Sepia, 10x8. The legendary star of the Russian and American stage and of many silent Hollywood films was also a leading interpreter of Ibsen on Broadway. She starred as Nora in the 1922 silent adaptation of A Doll's House, which she also produced. Nazimova was a friend of actress Edith Luckett and was the godmother of her daughter Anne, called Nancy by her mother. In 1952, Nancy married Ronald Reagan. Lightly rippled, else fine.
