ROCKY GRAZIANO and TONY ZALE
World Middleweight Champions who fought three title fights.
Photograph signed: "Tony Zale" and "Rocky Graziano". B/w, 10x8. On September 27, 1946, TONY ZALE (1913-1997) retained the World Middleweight Championship he had held since 1941 by knocking out ROCKY GRAZIANO (1922-1990) in the sixth round. On July 16, 1947, Graziano knocked out Zale in the sixth round to win the title. Zale regained the championship by knocking out Graziano in the third round on June 10, 1948. On March 8, 1973, they fought an exhibition match in New York. Minor crease at upper left background. Fine condition.
