Jay Hanna "Dizzy" Dean, a native of Lucas, Arkansas, began his career with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1930. Quickly winning recognition as an outstanding right-hander, Dean won 30 games for the Cardinals in the 1933-1934 season, when he was joined by his brother, Paul "Daffy" Dean. "Dizzy" led the Cardinals to the 1934 World Series, where he won two games (and his brother won two), and he won the NL's MVP award that year. Traded to the Chicago Cubs in 1938, Dean retired from baseball in 1941, but remained associated with the game, making a brief comeback in 1947 with the St. Louis Browns and delivering colorful baseball commentaries on radio and television. Dean was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953. Fine condition. SEE IF DOCUMENT 147194 IS FOR SALE RIGHT NOW!!
