JOHNNY HORTON. Magazine Photograph signed: "Love ya!/Johnny Horton/xxxxx". Beige sheet with brown print, 10¾x8¼ overall, image 2¾x4½ (one surface). Country singers Horton, Bobby Lord and Charline Arthur are pictured with short biographies. Horton's big hits were the historical songs "The Battle of New Orleans" (1959) and "Sink the Bismarck" (1960). The winner of the 1959 Grammy for Best Country and Western Performance for "The Battle of New Orleans", he was only 35 when he was killed in a car crash in 1960. Horton's autograph is rare in any form. Slightly creased. Light vertical crease touches the "y" in Johnny. Light staple rust stains and staple nicks at blank left edge. Fine condition.
