SIGMUND ROMBERG. Photograph inscribed and
signed: "Albuquerque/Friday March 6-36/To/Jenny Lind Bothe/sincerely/Sigmund
Romberg". B/w, 10½x14 overall, image 7x9 (two surfaces). Photo by Ben
Pinchot, New York. Tipped to a presentation folder. Mount is lightly creased,
slightly stained, slightly soiled and shaded not at writing. Photo is in fine
condition. Accompanied by an original March 4, 1936 telegram from Romberg
to Bothe about meeting her in Albuquerque on Friday, March 6th, "to give you
my photograph personally". Creased and worn. Tape stain and file holes at
blank left margin. The Hungarian-born American composer's best known work is
1924's The Student Prince. Two items.
