Document 13166
ELEANOR ROOSEVELT. TLS: "Eleanor
Roosevelt", 1p, 6x7. New York, 1958 October 20. The former First Lady
writes to Nannine. In full: "I am distressed to hear from Maureen that
you did not receive my thank-you note for the wonderful little cakes you brought
in personally for my birthday. I want you to know that the cakes were delicious
and that I kept them here instead of taking them to Hyde Park, so that I could
selfishly enjoy them. You were a dear to get them for me and I want you to know
of my appreciation. With many regrets that you did not hear from me sooner."
Eleanor Roosevelt had celebrated her 74th birthday on October 11th. Fine
condition.
