Ford and Hale Boggs, Senators Richard Russell and John Sherman Cooper, former CIA Director Allen Dulles and banker John J. McCloy to a seven-man commission headed by Chief Justice Earl Warren to investigate the assassination of President Kennedy. On September 27, 1964, the Warren Commission report was released with the conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole assassin.
