Kenny, Randolph, N.J. In full: "Your taking the time to write as you
did regarding my trip to China was most thoughtful. I greatly appreciated your
very generous comments. Mrs. Nixon joins me in sending our very best wishes.
P.S. I thought you might be interested in the enclosed column by Bill Safire
which appeared in the New York Times after my trip to China." Light paper
clip impression at upper left corner. Fine condition. With 8x10 photocopy
of Safire's essay, "Nixon in China", from the November 6, 1989 edition of "The
New York Times". Folds. Fine condition. In October 1989, during his sixth visit
to China, Nixon publicly expressed the outrage of the American people over the
government crackdown in Tiananmen Square that June. Two items.
