RONALD REAGAN and NANCY REAGAN. Photo Mount
inscribed and signed: "To Lil Lazzaro/Best Wishes/Nancy &" and
"Ronald Reagan". Color, 14x11 overall, image 9½x6 (two surfaces). On
Sunday, January 20, 1985, in the grand foyer of the White House, President
Reagan was sworn in for his second term by Chief Justice Warren Burger. In
keeping with the tradition that when inauguration day falls on a Sunday a second
swearing-in ceremony is held on Monday, President Reagan again took the oath
from Chief Justice Burger at 11:48 A.M. on January 21, 1985 in the Capitol
Rotunda. It was zero degree weather in Washington, so the ceremony was held
indoors. Reagan followed his swearing-in with an 18-minute inaugural address.
Stray, light ¼-inch ink mark at lower right corner of mount. Fine
condition.
