"William M. Allen". Color, 8x10¾. Cover of the July 19, 1954 issue of
"Time" magazine, picturing Allen. Captioned: "Boeing's President
Allen/After the bombers, a race against the sun". Diagonal title across upper
right corner: "First U.S. Jetliner". Company attorney at Boeing from 1925-1945,
Allen was President from 1945-1968 and Chairman from 1968-1972. He was
responsible for the advancement of jet transport and the beginning of the 747
program. Allen was an innovator who encouraged diversification and helped create
Boeing's place in the U.S. space program. Adequate contrast. Lightly worn.
Overall, fine condition.
