Document 176605 GERALD R. FORD and BOB HOPE Two world famous golfers. Photograph signed: "Gerald Ford" and "Bob Hope". Color, 8x6. Ford (wearing hat) and Hope (seated in cart) are on a golf course at the 17th hole. Ford, now 87, and Hope, now 97, frequently played golf together. In addition to golf and Palm Springs streets (Gerald Ford Drive, Bob Hope Drive), they also have their given first names in common. Ford was born Leslie Lynch King, Jr. in 1913 (he was adopted by his stepfather Gerald R. Ford, Sr.) and Hope was born Leslie Townes Hope in 1903. They also have fun joking about Ford's golf game. Bob Hope once said: "We have fifty-one golf courses in Palm Springs. He (Ford) never decides which course he will play until after his first tee shot." Gerald Ford's take: "I deny allegations by Bob Hope that during my last game I hit an eagle, birdie, an elk, and a moose." Label of previous owner, indicating that the photo was taken in England, affixed to verso (no show through). Fine condition. SEE IF DOCUMENT 176605 IS FOR SALE RIGHT NOW!!
