DAVID O. SELZNICK. Partly Printed Check signed: "David O. Selznick", 7¾x3. Los Angeles, 1936 October 30. Drawn on his personal account at Citizen National Trust & Savings Bank of Los Angeles, payable to actress Constance Bennett for $1,542. Bennett has endorsed it: "Constance/Bennett" on verso. Also endorsed: "Gladys Young". This check was signed by SELZNICK as he was casting parts in Gone With the Wind. BENNETT had starred in Selznick productions including What Price Hollywood? (1932), Rockabye (1932) and Our Bettors (1933). Selznick later produced David Copperfield (1935), A Tale of Two Cities (1935), A Star is Born (1937) and Rebecca (1940). Vertical fold touches the "a" in David. Bank cancellation holes nick the letters in "David". File hole at blank area between payee lines. Overall, fine condition.
