MARY LORD HARRISON. ALS: "Mary Lord
Harrison", 1p, 6x7. New York, 1938 December 2. To James R. Price,
Syracuse. In full: "Thank you for your kind letter and at your request
I am mailing you my letter franked for your collection". Harrison's first
wife, Caroline Scott Harrison, died in the White House in 1892. In 1896, her
sister's widowed daughter, Mary Scott Lord Dimmick, became Harrison's second
wife. Former President Harrison died in 1901. Even though she married Harrison
after he left the White House, Mary Lord Harrison was granted the franking
privilege after his death. She died in 1948. Slightly creased. Fine condition.
