Associate Justice Felix Frankfurter is noted to be absent. The Gridiron Club, founded in Washington, D.C. in 1885, was originally intended to be a correspondent's union. It evolved into a dining club of leading correspondents assigned to Washington, and became noted for its "roasts" of prominent politicians. Remarkable assemblage of early 1950s politicians, jurists, military leaders, ambassadors and business and labor leaders. Folds touch some signatures. Stain at upper left blank margin, light stain at upper right margin touches the "n" in Harriman's signature. Partially separated at some upper folds, lightly chipped at upper blank edge at folds, ½-inch tear at blank area to right of first fold. Overall, fine condition.
