GEORGE BUSH. TNS: "George Bush" as
Chairman of the Republican National Committee, ¼p, 7x10. Washington,
D.C., 1973 July 2. On RNC letterhead, "To Whom It May Concern". In
full: "I have known Roy Winchester for approximately ten years. In my
dealings with him, I have found him to be honest and a man of good character. I
can recommend him to you without reservation." Appointed by President Nixon
just before the Watergate scandal, George Bush served as Chairman of the
Republican National Committee from 1973-1974. It later became Bush's
responsibility to write to ask President Nixon to resign. Folds, horizontal fold
touches the second "g" in George. 2 file holes at upper blank margin. Fine
condition.
