8½x3. Brooklyn, N.Y., 1957 February 26. Check filled out and signed:
"Cornelius Greenway", payable to Harry S. Truman for $2.00. Reverend
Greenway was a Unitarian priest who was Pastor of the All Souls Universalist
Church, Brooklyn N.Y. He was also a pioneer autograph collector. The Truman
Library in Independence, Missouri, was dedicated on July 6, 1957. Folds.
Cancellation holes touch Greenway's signature. Bank stamp on verso touches the
"H" in Truman's signature and 1 word of endorsement. Bank stamp beneath
signature shows through to Greenway's writing. Staple holes at upper left
corner. Overall, fine condition.
