RONALD REAGAN. Postcard Photograph inscribed
and signed: "To Harold/Ronald Reagan". B/w, 3½x5½. Facsimile signature in
white: "Capt. Ronald/Reagan". On April 14, 1942, Reagan entered the U.S. Army as
Second Lieutenant of Cavalry in the reserve. Poor eyesight disqualified him for
combat duty. On June 12, 1944, Captain Reagan of the Air Corps Personnel Office,
Culver City, signed Clark Gable's discharge papers. Captain Reagan was
discharged on December 9, 1945. Lightly creased. ¼-inch tear at lower blank
margin (all intact). Light stains on image (not evident head on). Overall, fine
condition.
