VOYAGER
The only aircraft pilots to fly around the world without refueling.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Barney/The sky is the unlimited/Bounds of the Imagination/Jeana Yeager" and "Dick Rutan". B/w, 10x8 overall, image 9½x6½ (one surface). The two record-setting pilots are standing next to their Voyager aircraft. Voyager took off from Edwards Air Force Base, California on December 14, 1986 with co-pilots DICK RUTAN and JEANNA YEAGER aboard. On December 23, 1986, nine days, three minutes and 44 seconds later, after a flight of 24,987 miles, the Voyager landed back at Edwards. It had circled the earth without refueling! Today, Voyager can be seen in the National Air and Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institution. Fine condition.
