Document 48041 BARBARA BUSH Written just 23 days after her husband's inauguration as Vice President. TLS: "Barbara Bush", 1p, 6¼x8¼. The Vice President's House, Washington, D.C., 1981 February 12. To Bob. In full: "Just a note to thank you for your kind letter. I've enclosed an autographed picture as you requested. George and I are settled into our new home, and we love it! Thanks again." Since 1974, the Vice President has lived in a large, white-painted, Victorian house on the southeast corner of 34th Street and Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, D.C. It is located on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory. The official title of the home is "The Admiral's House" and it is pictured on Mrs. Bush's stationery. Fine condition.
