39th U.S. President, 1977-1981.
Large Photograph signed: "J. Carter". Color, 11x14. Jimmy Carter, Governor of Georgia from 1971-1975, was nominated for President at the Democratic National Convention held in New York's Madison Square Garden on July 12-15, 1976. In the November 2, 1976 election, he defeated incumbent President Gerald R. Ford by 40.8 million to 39.1 million popular votes and 297-240 electoral votes, but Ford won more states, 27-23 and Washington, D.C. Fine condition.
