Document 32244 MILLARD FILLMORE First former President to run as a Third Party Candidate. Free Frank signed: "Free/M. Fillmore", yellow page, 2¾x¾. Final letters "EE" of stamped "FREE" at lower right. This was probably signed after Fillmore left the presidency in 1853 because it was his custom to have added his office be it "M.C." as Member of Congress or "V.P." as Vice President to his franking signature. President Fillmore unsuccessfully sought the 1852 Whig Party nomination and was the 1856 American (Know-Nothing) Party candidate for President, winning only Maryland's eight electoral votes. Irregularly cut, fine condition. SEE IF DOCUMENT 32244 IS FOR SALE RIGHT NOW!!
