GENE FULLMER and PAUL PENDER
World Middleweight Champions.
Advertisement inscribed and signed: "Best Wishes/'John'/Gene Fullmer" and "Paul Pender". B/w, 8¼x7. In their only fight, Fullmer won a ten-round decision over Pender on February 14, 1955 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Fullmer was World Middleweight Champion in 1957. Pender was World Middleweight Champion from 1960-1961. Each won his championship by defeating Sugar Ray Robinson in a 15-round decision. Lightly creased and soiled, touching signatures. Mounting remnants and stamping ("The Ring") on verso (no show through).
