Drawn on The Rye National Bank for $43.24, payable to Nanny Lizatte. Endorsed on
verso. Noted by Barrow at lower left to be payment for a laundry bill.
While Hall of Famer Ed Barrow was General Manager of the Yankees (1921-1945),
they won 14 pennants and ten World Championships. On October 10, 1951, the day
Barrow wrote this check, Joe DiMaggio played his last game as the New York
Yankees beat the New York Giants 4-3 to win the 1951 World Series in six games.
Cancellation holes touch 1 word of writing, bank stamp at 1 word. Fine
condition.
