Senator, 1p, 8½x11. Washington, D.C., 1926 December 15. To Charles P.
Weller, Executive, Greater Boston Chapter, League of Neighbors, Boston, Mass.
In part: "I have talked with the Department of Labor relative to the
case of James Phillips...the Department says that the appeal was fully considered
last August, and denied, and it is not thought that that decision will now be
reversed...." Member of Congress from Massachusetts from 1893-1925, Frederick
M. Gillett served as Speaker of the House from 1919-1925 when he entered the
U.S. Senate (1925-1931). Minor stains in blank areas. Lightly creased.
