DAVID H. DePATIE. Typed Contract signed:
"David H. DePatie" as President of DePatie-Freleng Enterprises,
2p, 8½x11. Burbank, California, 1963 June 20. A contract in letter form
from Warner Bros. to DePatie-Freleng Enterprises acknowledging the
payment of $10,000 by Warners to Filmways, Inc. with DePatie-Freleng
agreeing to repay to Warners the $10,000. In part: "You hereby
acknowledge that Exhibit 'A' was entered into with Filmways, Inc. primarily on
your behalf, and that, solely upon your request, we obliged ourselves to pay, or
cause to be paid, Filmways, Inc. thereunder the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars
($10,000.00) concurrently with the execution of Exhibit 'A'...." "Exhibit "A"
is not present. After Warner Bros. closed its cartoon studios earlier in
1963, David H. DePatie teamed up with Friz Freleng to form
DePatie-Freleng Enterprises which produced over 300 cartoons from 1964
until 1986. Producers DePatie and Freleng won the 1964 Academy Award for
Short Subject (Cartoon) for The Pink Phink. Staple holes at upper
left and upper right blank corner. Fine condition.
