LYNETTE "SQUEAKY" FROMME. Partly Printed DS: "Lynette Fromme", 1p, 8½x11. Alderson Federal Prison, West Virginia, 1984 September 9. Federal Bureau of Prisons form. Fromme signs to acknowledge that "1 stamped envelope" which she is not allowed to receive will be returned to the sender. She has handwritten the date and also the return address: "Sy Sussman/2962 South Mann St./Las Vegas, Nevada 89102". Also signed by the prison mail officer. Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme was a follower of convicted murderer Charles Manson. She was questioned repeatedly but not charged in the sensational August 1969 murder of actress Sharon Tate by the Manson "family". On September 5, 1975, she pointed a pistol at President Ford as he moved through a crowd in a park 100 yards from the California State Capitol in Sacramento. On November 26, 1975, Fromme was found guilty of the attempted assassination of Pres. Ford and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Fromme twice escaped from Alderson, the second time on Christmas Eve, 1987, apparently planning to go see Charles Manson. She is eligible for parole on September 5, 2005. Two paper losses (½x¼-inch) at top edge where staples were removed. 1½-inch paper separation at right edge of upper horizontal fold. Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
