BARBARA BUSH. TLS: "Barbara Bush"
with six word handwritten postscript as wife of the Vice President, 1p,
6-3/8x8½. The Vice President's House, Washington, 1982 January 22. To Ms.
Snow. In full: "Thank you very much for your letter. It is my pleasure
to enclose my signature card and photograph. I hope you have a great new
year." Handwritten postscript: "Many thanks for your nice
letter!" In 1992, Mrs. Bush became the first President's wife to address the
Republican National Convention. Married on January 6, 1945, George and Barbara
Bush have been married longer than any other presidential couple. In 1999, they
broke the record set by John and Abigail Adams, coincidentally, the only other
presidential couple to be parents of a U.S. President. Fine condition.
