Scarce informal presidential photograph.
Photo Mount signed: "William McKinley" as President. B/w, 3¼x2¾ image mounted to a 3¼x4 sheet. Signed on image. On
mount is printed in unknown hand: "McKinley/1901". It is not known
where this informal photograph of the President was taken. McKinley was
inaugurated for his second term as President on March 4, 1901. He died on
September 14, 1901, eight days after being shot by an anarchist at the Pan
American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. Adequate contrast.
