Printed Photograph signed: "Mamie Doud Eisenhower". Color, 3½x5½ overall, image 2¼x3 (one surface). The photograph of President Eisenhower used for his memorial commemorative 6-cent stamp affixed at upper right, postmarked Abilene, Kansas, October 14, 1969, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. On July 1, 1916, 19-year-old Marie (Mamie) Geneva Doud and 25-year-old Major Dwight David Eisenhower were married in Denver, Colorado. They were married for 52 years and 270 days when "Ike" died on March 28, 1969, six and a half months before this stamp was issued on his 79th birthday. Mamie Eisenhower was 82 when she died in 1979. Fine condition.
