ELEANOR ROOSEVELT
First Lady, 1933-1945.
Stamp signed: "Eleanor Roosevelt". Nicaraguan stamp issued in memory of Franklin D. Roosevelt, picturing him signing the declaration of war against Japan in 1941, 1x1½, mounted on 5x3 card signed diagonally by his widow. FDR had begun collecting stamps when he was a boy and continued his hobby in the White House. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso (no show through). Card lightly soiled, else fine.
