BILL CLINTON
The young Governor thanks a campaign worker.
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To Guy E. Pertino Jr/Thanks for
your/help/Bill Clinton/1-4-80". B/w, 5x7. In 1978, 32-year-old Bill Clinton
was elected Governor of Arkansas. He was inaugurated on January 9, 1979. In
1980, Clinton was defeated in his bid for reelection. It is possible that
Pertino helped Clinton in the 1980 campaign. Clinton was elected Governor
again in 1982, 1984 and 1988. Elected 42nd U.S. President on November 3, 1992,
he resigned as Governor on December 12, 1992. Creased at lower right blank
corner. Fine condition.
