WILLIAM McKINLEY. ALS: "William McKinley", 1p, 6x4. No
place, 1891 February 11. In full: "I thank you for sending me a copy
of that series --- and shall look forward to the second series by you."
McKinley was an Ohio Congressman from 1877-1884 and 1885-1891 and
Governor of Ohio (1892-1896) before serving as President (1897-1901). He lost
his bid for reelection in 1890 and wrote this letter three weeks before his term
in Congress ended. Slightly nicked edges. Ink lightly smudged at "McKinley".
Slightly soiled. Overall, fine condition. Framed in Gallery of History style:
19x15.
