Noted to be from: "Speech, British Parliament/June 8, 1982". On that day, President Ronald Reagan became the first American chief executive to address a joint session of the British Parliament. It is in this speech that President Reagan refers to the Soviet Union as an evil empire. His words leading up to the above quote: "From Stettin on the Baltic to Varna on the Black Sea, the regimes planted by totalitarianism have had more than 30 years to establish their legitimacy.
