ALFRED KASTLER. Printed Biography signed: "Alfred Kastler"
beneath small photograph, 1p, 4¼x4¾. In French. Alfred Kastler (1902-1984) was
born in Alsace, a province transferred from Germany to France at the end of WWI.
Affiliated with the University of Paris, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in
1966 "for the discovery and development of optical methods for studying
Hertzian resonances in atoms". Fine condition.
