Document 258584 ROY ROGERS He agrees to produce The Roy Rogers Show at the Goldwyn Studios. DS: "Roy Rogers" as President of Frontiers, Inc., 14p, 8½x11. Los Angeles, 1952 March 17. Agreement between Rogers and Samuel Goldwyn Productions. In part: "The Producer [Frontiers, Inc.] agrees that during the period of seven (7) weeks, commencing March 18, 1952, it will produce on location and on the premises of the Studio [Goldwyn] a series of ten (10) television photoplays tentatively entitled, 'ROY ROGERS PRODUCTIONS NO. 21 TO 30, inc.' and that in the production of said photoplays it will use solely and exclusively the facilities and other equipment (all being hereinafter referred to as the 'facilities') and the premises of the Studio, in accordance with the terms of this agreement...." The Roy Rogers Show was one of the most popular of television's early westerns. It was televised on NBC from December 30, 1951 to June 23, 1957. The half-hour show was set in the present and starred Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans as themselves. It co-starred Pat Brady as Roy's jeep-driving sidekick (the jeep was named Nellybelle) and the singing group, Sons of the Pioneers. Roy rode Trigger and Dale rode Buttermilk. Bullet, a German shepherd, rounded out the cast. Roy Rogers Productions produced all 101 episodes. Some pages lightly creased at blank margins. Staple holes at upper blank margins.
