Document 210616 MALCOLM FORBES Business publisher and noted collector. Photograph signed: "Malcolm Forbes". Color, 8x10 overall, image 7½x8¼ (one surface). In 1957, Forbes inherited the business magazine founded by his father 40 years earlier. "Forbes" became one of America's most successful business magazines while he was Editor-in-Chief and Publisher. Its profits and circulation increased (to 735,000), especially after he created "The Rich List", an annual ranking of America's 400 wealthiest people. Forbes, who was worth at least $400 million at his death in 1990, was also noted for his collection of Fabergé eggs and autographs and manuscripts and for hosting lavish parties for his friends.
