HARRY S TRUMAN. TLS: "Harry S Truman", 1p, 7¼x7½.
Independence, Missouri, 1964 July 8. To Peter Israel, Editor-in-Chief,
G.P. Putnam's Sons, New York. In full: "Thank you very much for the
advance copy of Don Robertson's book entitled 'A Flag Full of Stars'. I am glad
to have it and look forward to reading it at the first opportunity."
Robertson's novel, A Flag Full of Stars, took place during
Truman's 1948 campaign. Lower blank portion neatly trimmed off. A penciled
circled letterhead and file note at upper margin (unknown hand). Overall, fine
condition.
