WARREN G. HARDING and WILL H. HAYS. Partly Printed DS: "Warren G. Harding" as President and "Will H. Hays" as Postmaster General, 1p, 18x14½. Washington, 1922 January 27. Appointment of Forest W. France as Postmaster at Buckley, Pierce County, Washington, about 20 miles east of Tacoma. HAYS, HARDING's Postmaster General from March 5, 1921 to March 4, 1922, later served as President of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America, which created the "Hays Code" of conduct in films produced by Hollywood. Vertical folds, 1 touches first "r" in Warren. Creased. Lightly soiled.
